Aaron Seltzer

Music Programming & Production Specialist

I grew up in Eugene and have lived in Grants Pass since 2011. I’ve worked exclusively in the radio business since high school, specializing in on-air hosting, audio production and programming. I’ve enjoyed being a part of multiple locally owned and operated stations over the years. Being able to serve the local community with some of the best music and information has been a great experience. I’ve been an avid radio listener, ever since I was old enough to flip the power switch on the radio. Starting at a very young age, it had been a dream of mine to work in this business, and to help put new radio stations on the air. I’m very thankful for the mentors I’ve had, showing me what it takes to make a station successful. I certainly love being here in the beautiful community of Grants Pass. Thank you for listening!

Tom Ray

Production Assistant / Announcer

I was born October 3rd, 1957 in Spokane, Washington. Shortly thereafter my family moved to the naval and air base at Adak, Alaska. As I grew through my younger years, life consisted of sledding & building snow forts in the winter, then beach combing and bicycling when the snow went away.

One thing I always had was music. My radio, a hi-fi and portable phonograph, along with a lot of LPs and 45s. I hit the biggest city in Alaska just before my 10th birthday, grew up, pursued passions and fell in love a thousand times before leaving about 19 years later.

It was late 1986 when I left Anchorage to become the executive director of the Grants Pass Boys and Girls club. As life went on I had children of my own. My two boys fell in love with the game of football and I became an announcer for their youth league. Through the Job Council I received a referral to Grants Pass Broadcasting. As I sat down for a “field interview” with Don Monette, it was apparent we both shared a love of music and a gift of gab. With the approval of Big Jim (our founder) and brutally honest voice and diction coach, I joined the family as an intern in October of 2002.

The rest, as they say, is history…

Jeremy McElroy

Chief Engineer (AKA Amazing Tech Guru)

I was born in 1996, right here in Grants Pass. I was homeschooled for most of my childhood, but attended New Hope for my Elementary years and later came back for a Digital Media class in 2011, where I really became interested in IT.

I started working at Calvary Chapel Grants Pass in the Summer of 2012, doing live sound (My first gig there was New Hope’s “Into the Woods” theatre show, which was hosted at Calvary! I ran sound, our Administrator Annie Burnham ran lighting), video production and IT support.

I finished high school in 2014, and later in 2020 received both my GED and CompTIA A+ Certification.

I started working here at New Hope as an IT Technician in Fall of 2021. I’m excited to be a part of the KGPZ team and supporting Positive Country 106.7 for Christ and I’m excited for what the future of the station holds!

Board of Directors

Cowboy Poet Butch Martin and Singer/Songwriter Christina Lynn Martin are the producers of the critically acclaimed documentary concert Romancing the West. The Nationally touring show, written by Christina, features the couple and classical rock legend Martin Gerschwitz performing the shows original music, with renown guest artists joining them in various regions including Joni Harms, and Chuck Girard of Lovesong. The show tells the story of the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of the people of the American West and celebrates their diverse cultures, lives and legacies. Christina began her spiritual and musical journey as a teenager during the Jesus Movement in Southern California, writing her songs, leading worship and singing in “The Calvary Chapel Worship Community.”

Christina carries on the musical legacy of her ancestors including her grandfather Irish tenor and National radio personality Ronnie Mansfield.  She journals the stories of the people of the historic places where she has lived, the majesty of the landscape of the West and her own stories of love, loss, relationships, motherhood and the importance of a foundational faith in Jesus. Christina has released eight albums including “Rhapsody” (as co-founder of pop/rock group Velvet Bleu), “Capistrano”, “Oh Oregon, “Songs of the American West”, “Romancing the West” with Pam Mark Hall, “Centerstage” featuring a duet with GRAMMY award winning Bryan Duncan, “Home on Cougar Mountain”, and “Romancing the West Legacy.” Christina is the co-founder of Purpose Media, a multi-media company through which she produced the television show “The Gold Coast” and regional guides, OrangeCounty.net and GuidetoOregon.com. She also served as a Jacksonville Commissioner and City Council person.

Butch was raised on a farm in Southern Illinois in ear shot of the steam engines heading West.  He remembers listening to “The Old Time Gospel Hour” with his family gathered around the radio before the age of television. He eventually traveled to Wyoming where he raised Morgan cow horses on his ranch, winning cutting horse championships on his horse Black Saddle Sunkist. Butch rode and worked cattle out on the Wind River Range with friends and cowboys like Darrell Winfield #1 Marlboro, which brought out his poetic side. He began writing and performing cowboy poetry and music throughout the West with his band The Rogue Valley Riders, releasing a series of albums and founding his radio show Whittler’s Corner. His life lessons and meeting Christina were the catalyst for a restored and renewed faith in his life. Butch and Christina enjoy time at their log cabin surrounded by kids and grandkids, dogs Bleu and Kimber, three cats, a mule named Bobbie McGee and horse named Sarah.

“We treasure this opportunity to work together with a great team to provide the community with powerful, anointed, and life-changing music and Bible teaching.”
